Julia Allison: Paris Hilton of the Internet

Thinking about seeking fame, here is a typical example of a shameless lady who went to any length to be famous. Her Lust for Fame is so high that many of her ploys includes gate-crashing celebrity parties. And she once even appeared at a New York bloggers' party in 'condom' to gain attention. She is being profiled in this month edition of Wired. Before that, she’s been profiled trashly because of her whorish act on many blogs including Gawker. She had won award as one of the most-hated persons on the internet. She also won a privilege of being called "ho-bag" by some readers.

Despite the avalanche of hate, her internet sensation continues. As seen here in Wired pix with celebrities, including (clockwise from top left) Arianna Huffington, Henry Kissinger, Richard Branson, Wired editor Chris Anderson, and David Blaine. According to Wired:

”Julia Allison can't act. She can't sing. She's not rich. But thanks to a genius for self-promotion, she's become an Internet celebrity. Indeed, it's hard to describe exactly what she's famous for. She's not an actress or a singer or a misbehaving heiress to a hotel fortune. She is undeniably pretty but beauty alone can't account for her celebrity. She has made the process of self-promotion into its own freaky art form. Traditionally, it takes an army of publicists, a well-connected family, or a big-budget ad campaign to make this kind of splash. But Allison has done it on her own and on the cheap, armed only with an insatiable need for attention and a healthy helping of Web savvy.”
