The New York Mets owner, Fred Wilpon, and his subordinates: Omar Minaya (manager) and Jerry Manuel (coach, inset) have all been tagged as spineless invertebrates - by NY Daily News’ Bramhall. This is part of the media and fans outrage against the NY Mets honchos. Since they fired a former coach, Willie Randolph, they’ve been called all kind of cowardice names. Jerry Manuel (in white) finally had it, and he showed Met fans that he is no coward as being proclaimed – he has a backbone. So, during a game at Shea stadium he jumped at an opportunity to resist a charging bully [Umpire] and wow the sport fans.
